Always in control
Comfort, precision and control,
connected by KNX.
Stable, reliable systems that start at the design stage, with dedicated infrastructure and the ability to combine many manufacturers.
The ideal solution for anyone looking for a truly premium system.
KNX is regarded as the leading international standard in the smart home world.
It is based on reliable, stable wired communication that allows precise control and connects many manufacturers and products, all “speaking the same language”.
5 reasons to choose a KNX system
A global standard for a true smart home: reliable, flexible and future-ready.
At ACCORTO we bring years of experience with KNX systems,
from design to commissioning on site.
We work methodically, document everything, and make sure every system stays stable, accessible and upgradeable for years to come.
-
An open standard, no dependence on one manufacturer
KNX is an international system that runs on an open protocol, with thousands of manufacturers worldwide. Components from different brands can be combined, and everything works together in harmony.
-
Stability and reliability for years ahead
Unlike wireless systems, KNX runs on dedicated wired communication, separate from the ordinary power wiring, and keeps working when the internet or other communication fails. It is the preferred choice for luxury homes, public buildings and hotels around the world.
-
Complete flexibility and personalisation
Almost any system in the house can be connected: lighting, shutters, air conditioning, heating, cameras and more. KNX “talks” to dozens of other protocols, so everything works together in a smart, unified way.
-
Easy maintenance, now and in the future
Every KNX system has a project database that stays with the client. Later on, components can be updated, added or changed without rewriting code and without breaking walls.
-
Real experience that secures the result
Our team brings extensive experience designing and implementing KNX systems in private homes, villas, offices and hotels, with an emphasis on seamless integration and quiet, stable operation over the years.
One smart infrastructure
that runs the whole house.
At ACCORTO we bring many years of experience with KNX systems, and implement them professionally, in a planned and orderly way, from the very first design stage of the house.
Thanks to this approach, years from now you will still be able to access the system, update data, make changes or extend it, easily, quickly and without rewriting code.
A reliable, flexible, future-ready system
and the combination of our electrical knowledge with a deep understanding of the KNX protocol
makes your project stable, cost-effective and of real value over time.

KNX: questions, answered
What is KNX, and why is it considered the leading standard?
KNX is an open global standard for building control that has existed for decades and is used in millions of buildings. Unlike closed systems, any KNX-certified component from any manufacturer works with any other, which secures compatibility over time.
Is a KNX system right for every home?
It suits new builds and major renovations best, because it needs dedicated conduits and a separate control cable. In an existing home where you would rather not open the walls, a wireless system gives a similar result with far less work.
What is the real advantage of an open standard?
You are not tied to one manufacturer. You can start with controllers from one, add designer switches from a second and later bring in a component from a third, all in the same system. It also means there will always be someone who can maintain it.
How do you choose a KNX installer?
Ask about certification, ask to see projects of a similar size, and make sure they hand over full documentation of the programming. A good KNX installer leaves behind a tidy project file that any other professional can pick up from.
Can KNX be combined with wireless components?
Yes, and it is an approach we use a lot. The wired infrastructure handles the core, lighting, shutters and air conditioning, and wireless components add control where no conduit reaches. The result is a hybrid system that uses the strengths of both.
What happens if the manufacturer I chose disappears from the market?
That is exactly what the KNX standard is designed to prevent. Because the standard is open and not owned by any manufacturer, a discontinued component can be replaced by an equivalent from another manufacturer without replacing the system. With closed systems, a manufacturer disappearing usually means replacing everything.
